What we call a double sole is actually built with three layers of leather—an additional leather layer is placed between the moccasin and the hand-stitched Bull Hide outsole for enhanced cushioning, durability, and all-day comfort. The rugged Bull Hide double sole provides long-lasting wear while maintaining the flexible feel that makes moccasins so distinctive.

Old friends from Maine
My fourth pair of deerskin lined moccasins arrived like a pair of old friends, from Maine; comfortable, sweet and worn-in already. I now have half a dozen pairs on the go at any one time and they've become my go-to day to day footwear. I especially love to wear them when travelling by air they are super-comfortable. Beautifully cut, brilliantly put together and durable. What more could you ask from a pair of moccasins.

Great moccasin with a barefoot feel.
I recently purchased these moccasins to where at work as I'm a physical therapist on my feet the majority of the day. I purchased them due to being able to walk very similarly to barefoot due to no heel drop between the heel and forefoot. Walking with more of a heel strike instead of landing on your mid-foot or forefoot can have significantly more force through your ankle, knee, hip and back causing joint pain. I have definitely noticed less stress on my right knee and recommend these shoes to my patients.

She was so happy!
Her birthday was on March 1st and I gave her a pair of 'Ole Maine Comfort Classic - Deerskin Lined - Honey Colored Moccasins. She was so happy with them she shed a few tears of joy. Made in USA and it shows
I recently purchased a pair of deerskin lined double sole slippers. These are the most comfortable and well made moccasins I have ever owned. They also fit true to size. 100x better than the "imported" ones from cabela's I previously owned that are now in the trash. Can't beat the quality.
