Product Description

The Double Sole Ole' Maine Comfort Classic Leather Moccasin is genuine handsewn around the toe and heel (not whipped or laced) using soft textured Top Grain Cowhide.  A thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole. This warm Honey colored leather is our newest choice.

The Deerskin lining is an added touch of softness next to your foot.

Our double sole moccasins are really "triple" soles because we put an extra layer of leather between the moccasin and the stitched on double sole for added comfort. Combining that with great classic looks and craftsmanship it creates a long time friend. There is nothing quite as special as handsewn moccasins.

When choosing a size for your new moccasins, keep in mind our moccasins run pretty true to the size of your dress shoe or everyday street shoe size...not a sneaker, athletic shoe or work boot. If you sometimes buy different sizes (e.g. sometimes a 9, sometimes a 9.5) you may want to choose the smaller size in our moccasins.

Our moccasins are earthing or grounding friendly.

  5. Best of the Best!!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Feb 2019

I've been buying Ole' Maine's for years. I'm now on my FOURTH generation. I once tried a pair of good-looking moccasins from China. The faux-rubber soles swelled up and wore out in three WEEKS! No kidding! My Ole Maine models cost more, sure, but each pair has lasted me three YEARS -- and I'm a very HEAVY user, and I don't mean weight!

    Simply the best!!!!

I have tried them enough to know I want my own pair!!!! Thankyou!!

  8. Love them 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Dec 2018

I have both lined and unlined in ladies size 11. I've had them for a few years now. I love them both. Quality. Mine have held up great. I also only wear them indoors. I wear a pair daily. My wider pair is for in winter with socks, and I wear the narrow pair in the summer barefoot. My feet did hurt a lot in the beginning as they adjusted to basically going barefoot (except with protection the slippers offered). It was worth it. The price is great compared to other companies. Thank you TowneView Leather!

  9. Highest Quality 5 Star Review

I haven’t worn moccasins in 45 years (since I was a kid). I decided to get a pair to ease the stress on my socks. I ordered online on a Sunday and was wearing my new moccasins on the following Wednesday.

They are extremely well made (in the USA). They are very comfortable, and the deerskin lining makes them even better.

I’m expecting a long relationship with my new moccasins.

    Thank you.

  10. I Just Couldn't Wait Any Longer. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Oct 2018

I bought my first pair of Town View Old Maine, double-soled moccasins at the end of 2013, right before I was scheduled to undergo another spine operation. Since I'd already been through eleven surgeries, I knew that camp-style moccasins would give me the support and stability I'd need for recovery. I'd been a long-time wearer of Quoddy mocs, but I'd found that they didn't last long enough to justify their steadily-rising cost. So, I thought I'd give Town View a try. Not only did they get me through rehab, I have worn them every day since. Just before my wife, Kate and I took a 25th anniversary trip to Edinburgh and London, I ordered a pair for her to wear during the eleven-hour flight.
The only problem I've had in the four years I've owned my Town View moccasins is that they just won't wear-out! I've worn them indoors and out, on rugs, wood floors, grass, and even concrete. In fact, I'm wearing them at this very moment. So, I just got tired of waiting, and ordered a fresh pair. They arrived quickly, fit perfectly, are just as well made as my old ones, and the price is still a bargain. However, they're going to have to wait their turn in the closet until my old ones wear-out...if they ever do.
