What we call a double sole is actually built with three layers of leather—an additional leather layer is placed between the moccasin and the hand-stitched Bull Hide outsole for enhanced cushioning, durability, and all-day comfort. The rugged Bull Hide double sole provides long-lasting wear while maintaining the flexible feel that makes moccasins so distinctive.

Amazing comfortable footgear
I'm going to keep this review brief since so many others have written in detail so much about these moccasins. Mine are astoundingly comfortable - great for driving, for walking about the house and the garden (I live in rural Oregon, so 'garden' is actually quite a bit of area), and most of all they were (and are!) the ideal footgear to take on a lengthy camping expedition! I loathe tight-fitting shoes, and thus ordered mine in my normal shoe size (I wear the same size for both street shoes and sneakers) - and they have loosened slightly from their original fit - which makes them even more comfortable for slipping on and off. Practical comfort distinguishes the best shoes I have ever had - and my new lined Town View moccasins are both practical...and ridiculously comfortable. My thanks and compliments to all concerned. It's a real pleasure to buy nice shoes from real human beings who take the time and trouble to 'make them right'!

Simply the Best Moccasins Anywhere
This is the 3d(maybe 4th)pair of these moccasins I have bought from Town View. Outstanding wear (about 8 years! on last pair);I am hard on these shoes. Cannot go wrong with either the shoes or the wonderful people that make them. Thank you Galen & Gayanne. SteveC

Ok, I got my Mocs about a month ago and wear them all day every day. The leather,stitching are the best I have seen and the deer skin lining pure luxury! These are the best.

Not a lot to say except - these are the best, most comfortable moccasins you can buy! Their quality is second to none and the fit is as described. The deerskin lining is extremely comfortable. I was born and raised in northern Maine many years ago at a time when a quality product meant it was well made, durable and lasting - these moccasins are the epitome of quality and comfort!

Excellent quality, fit and comfort
The quality of the leather, fit and finish are first-class. The comfort level is... well, its what I dream of during work. Even if the day has been long, I have my Ole' Maine Moccasins to come home to, slip them on and I just smile.
