SIZING
Many makers of traditional leather mocassins recommend SIZING DOWN a half to a full size.
Leather moccasins crafted from soft, flexible leather are designed to mold and stretch to the contours of your feet over time. Most people wear moccasins barefoot, removing the extra thickness a sock provides in standard shoes.
Moccasins should fit like a glove and feel quite snug, even slightly tight across the toes when brand new. If they feel perfectly loose and comfortable on day one, they will likely become stretched out, sloppy, and start slipping off your feet later.
- We do not recommend sizing based on sneakers, athletic shoes, or work boots.
- Because they are soft, genuine leather, moccasins will stretch up to a half-size larger with regular wear.
FIT
- What is Normal: The leather feels stiff, your toes are lightly touching the front edge, the sides rest against your feet, and it takes some effort to slip them on. (Keep Them)
-
-
- Width vs. Length: As the sides stretch out to accommodate your foot width, it naturally pulls some of the leather back, which can sometimes make the moccasin feel shorter initially before it fully molds.
-
- What is NOT Normal: Your toes are curled under, your toenails are feeling painful downward pressure, or the stitching is visibly strained. (Exchange Them)
