'Ole Maine Comfort Classic-Double Sole-Unlined-Dark Brown

Ridden with holes, my trusty old moccasins had finally given up the ghost. Quite forlorn, I was. For Christmas, I received a (dreadful) pair of double sole moccasins from LL Bean. In front of the generous gift giver, I slipped the LL Bean moccasins onto my feet, took one step and slipped directly onto my keister. The LL Bean moccasins were made from some type of hideous, hard, frictionless leather. Obviously, these moccasins were shipped back immediately. For my birthday, I was given some cash from the very same gift giver with the kind suggestion that I try another moccasin brand. So I placed an order with the folks at Town View. In short order, the package arrived, I opened the box and removed the contents. Once the moccasins were directly in my eager hands, surprise and wonderment set in. The first thing I noticed was the overall weight. These moccasins had heft. The leather was much thicker than I had been expecting. Certainly, much thicker than my previous pair. The second thing I noticed was the supple (almost tacky-but-not-quite) tactile quality of the leather. Stitching? Amazingly well done by a craftsperson that cares. I slipped the Town View moccasins onto my feet and took one step. Heaven.

I remember wearing moccasins in the Maine woods as a child, but once I got to my 20's it became increasingly difficult to find an all leather moccasin sturdy enough to wear as basic footwear in the woods. I followed some internet links to your site and ordered a pair for my 68th birthday as I've found my bare feet a bit tender for walking in the woods and I want to be able to feel the ground under my feet. I ordered a women's size 8 medium following the directions on the site and wondering how they would fit. A bit tight going on, but comfortable in 10 minutes of wear. I can't wait to get back to the Maine woods this summer and enjoy them every day!

I like these mocs, they are hand made and fit snug around my feet. It is nice to get them in narrow widths since my feet are in fact narrow. I am still breaking them in but feel that they are getting more and more comfortable the longer that I wear them. This is a product that I do recommend and so far I am quite satisfied. Loved the slippers but in my case needed work boot size not dress shoes size as they ran smaller. I followed the sizing instructions but needed bigger. A real quality slipper and USA made.

Just opened these, my second pair.Bought first pair in honey early November and ordered another in brown for Christmas they were so outstanding. The unlined breathe well and the nap grips your foot. Thankyou.

I've enjoyed these puppies for 5+ years, and they still look new. They are as comfortable as ever.
