Product Description

Our Unlined Double Sole "Ole Maine Comfort Classic" leather moccasin style comes with a leather heel pad added for your comfort. Top Grain Cowhide leather is used for the uppers and a thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole. A warm Honey colored leather is chosen for this style moccasin sometimes called slippers, house shoe, house slipper, shoes.....whatever you may call them, you will just call them comfortable!

Our double sole leather moccasins are really "triple" soles because we put an extra layer of leather between the moccasin and the stitched on double sole for added comfort. Combining that with great classic looks and craftsmanship it creates a long time friend. There is nothing quite as special as handsewn moccasins.

When choosing a size for your new moccasins, keep in mind our moccasins run pretty true to the size of your dress shoe or everyday street shoe size...not a sneaker, athletic shoe or work boot.

Our moccasins are earthing or grounding friendly.

The best moccasins!! Very well made. I am retired and wear them everyday around the house.
Thank you for an excellent hand made product.

  2. This is what I'm talking about 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Jun 2020

Fine quality shoes, I'm just going along with everyone else on that. My first pair of moccasins, and I've been wearing them only for a week or so, though nearly everywhere. Longest walk ca. 3 miles.

I looked at several alternatives, and something that might be interesting about the unlined double sole moccasins I got - you can find "triple sole" moccasins like this, and the description makes it clear that it's the same thing - the distinction is purely semantic. One sees the sole as an extra piece that's sewed onto the moccasin foot, so 2 extra pieces is "double", where the other sees the moccasin foot as the first sole, so 2 extra pieces is "triple". I can say at any rate, that they have a lot of sole!

And while they are basically unlined, the top piece actually is lined, as is just barely visible in the photo.

  3. worth every cent. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st May 2020

These are the moccasins I have been waiting all my life for. They were a bit tight, especially near my boney joints. So I spritzed them with water with a spray bottle and now I know they were custom made for my feet. Custom made mocs worth every cent.

  5. 1 Star for every 5 years! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Apr 2020

Great moccasins. My first pair lasted 25 years and are still used for "rough" duty. The second pair looks and feels exactly like the first pair. I hope I get to wear these out!

  6. Great Service & Moccasins 5 Star Review

I had an issue and received quick and helpful service from Town View Leather. The moccasins I ordered were great and appear very durable compared previous ones before from other companies.

  7. Second Pair 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2019

I recently bought a second pair of these. Not because my first wore out, but I just sleep better at night having another pair sitting in the box! I practically live in these things. Extremely comfortable. Very well made with high quality materials. I’ve always preferred my moccs unlined, so that is my only experience with town view as well. Don’t be concerned if they fit a little snug, or even tight at first- mine stretched out and conformed to my foot nicely (and can now wear them comfortably with my thickest, heaviest socks).

  8. LOVE these moccasins!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Dec 2019

I first discovered Town View moccasins about three years ago, and that pair is still going strong. However, the last few months I've had this nagging fear, what if the Wintles ever decide to retire?! What would I do if these were to get damaged or eventually wear out?! So when my wife asked what I would like for Christmas, the answer was simple: a backup pair! I work at home, and literally live in these moccasins, they're that good. It may be a very long time before I get to enjoy this year's Christmas present, but I'm so happy to get them! Handmade in the USA, true craftsmanship at its very best!

  9. A great leather moc 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Dec 2019

With difficult feet to fit into any form of footwear I spent waaaay to much time fooling around with other moccasin manufacturers. This is my second pair and I could not be happier unless my feet were actually in their shop for a personal fitting, but Maine is to far north for me. The workmanship is superb and turnaround time better than expected. So glad this couple decided to put their talents into leather instead of lobsters.

  10. Legit Handmade Made in USA Quality Craftmanship 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Nov 2019

They don't get better than these - true hand-sewn moccasin construction; thick but flexible leather uppers that quickly conform to your feat;and thick leather soles into which you soon create a custom footbed. Can wear inside or outside. My second pair after my eight-year-old pair. I'm a 10 - 10.5 in dress shoes and other goodyear welted shoes, a 10.5 - 11 in running shoes, and 10.5 is perfect in these. I would say if in doubt, size 1/2 up. Both of mine are unlined. Going to order a lined pair in one width wider to accommodate ith socks in winter. You will love these if you appreciate and can recognize quality. Cheers.
