Product Description

Our Unlined "Ole Maine Comfort Classic" style comes with a leather heel pad added for your comfort. Top Grain Cowhide leather is used for the uppers and a thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole. A rich dark brown leather is used for this style.

Our double sole moccasins are really "triple" soles because we put an extra layer of leather between the moccasin and the stitched on double sole for added comfort. Combining that with great classic looks and craftsmanship you create a long time friend. There is nothing quite as special as handsewn moccasins.

When choosing a size for your new moccasins, keep in mind our moccasins run pretty true to the size of your dress shoe or everyday street shoe size...not a sneaker, athletic shoe or work boot. If you sometimes buy different sizes (e.g. sometimes a 9, sometimes a 9.5) you may want to choose the smaller size in our moccasins.

  1. The real deal

These moccasins look, feel, and smell just like high-quality leather moccasins handmade in Maine - because they are! Your feet will thank you for wearing them, and you will feel like the real thing too.

I have been buying the unlined double sole moccasins for my husband for as long as I can remember. I have NEVER had a complaint or defect in the product. Would recommend them to anyone at anytime. Thanks for the great workmanship.

I have owned numerous moccasins over the years--both less and more expensive.Yours, which I just received, are THE BEST!! A high quality product, made in the U.S.A. by a family owned business--can't be any better!!

    Many thanks!

  4. Better than the competition

Posted by Unknown on 21st Jan 2014

I have worn moccasins from a competitor for years. They were comfortable but always wore out after a couple of years. I don't usually wear them anyplace else but indoors. The unlined double sole moccasins from Townview fit perfectly the first time, and it feels like I don't have anything other than socks on my feet. The leather feels more substantial than the competitions and more cushioned if that makes sense. I will definitely buy these again when necessary.

  7. Town View Leather Moccasins

Posted by Unknown on 13th Dec 2013

I've bought several pairs of these moccasins over the years, both as gifts and for my personal use, and have never been disappointed. What makes this company special to me is that they make moccasins to fit the customer as opposed to companies such as LL Bean who have limited sizes and widths.

  8. Great Moccasins

I recently purchased my first pair of Old Maine Comfort mocs from Town View Leather. They are wonderful. So well made and very comfortable. I've had them on since I got them and just love them. Thank you for the wonderful craftsmanship and super quality moc!!

  9. I love these moccasins.

Posted by Unknown on 8th Nov 2013

I have had five pairs of these moccasins, two fleece lined, two leather lined, and this latest pair which is unlined. I have loved them all but for every day use around the house I like the unlined best because they are cooler.

  10. Great quality; widths; affordable; US made

Posted by Phil Katz, Seattle on 12th Sep 2013

Comfortable, well made, long lasting. Made by an actual person in the US. I get three years out of them, wearing them as my principal shoes, in house and in garden. Would get more if I weren't lazy about changing shoes to take out the garbage (on concrete). My 3rd or 4th pair. Allows me to "feel the ground/floor" for better control, w/o wearing through or making me feel every bump. And Town View has the lasts to make them in widths.

I'm trying out the $35 resole (combination stitch and glue) for first time, on the previous pair.

Town View definitely has discovered the "sweet spot" in the price scale, where the customer is paying for all the quality they can actually use, w/o paying for a lot of extra marketing, hand-holding, or "prestige". (How the heck do you wear prestige? How does it feel on your feet?)
