The Ole' Maine Comfort Classic Moccasin is double soled, genuine handsewn around the toe and heel (not whipped or laced) using soft textured Top Grain Cowhide. A thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole. The rich Dark Brown color is a great choice.
The Deerskin lining is an added touch of softness next to your foot.
Our double sole moccasins are really "triple" soles because we put an extra layer of leather between the moccasin and the stitched on double sole for added comfort. Combining that with great classic looks and craftsmanship you create a long time friend. There is nothing quite as special as handsewn moccasins.
When choosing a size for your new moccasins, keep in mind our moccasins run pretty true to the size of your dress shoe or everyday street shoe size...not a sneaker, athletic shoe or work boot. If you sometimes buy different sizes (e.g. sometimes a 9, sometimes a 9.5) you may want to choose the smaller size in our moccasins.

Bought my first pair of the double sole with deerskin lining, but it won't be the last. As soon as I put them on and felt the luxurious supple deerskin, I started planning on getting pairs for my two kids, and my trophy wife. I also might get an extra pair for when these wear out-I can't imagine these will continue to stay at such a great price. And they are made in the USA-what's not to love?
Now I'm finding excuses to wear them out of the house, as they look great with jeans, khakis, or shorts.

I can't say more than what has already been said. They fit perfectly right out of the box. This is the only company I have found that offer narrow sizes. And the deer skin lining is extremely comfortable. If they stand up to the use and abuse I have given the moccasins from another Maine company over the past several decades, I will order them again.

I bought my first pair of Townview moccasins about six years ago. They were a thing of beauty, but a tad too large so I wound up giving them to my nephew who's still wearing them, inside and out, rain or shine, and they have held up impeccably. My new pair looks just as well-made as the old, combining solidity with softness.

The last pair of Elk hide moccasins I had ended up having been sneakily made in the Dominican Republic--after having been touted as being Native American made (inferred from the companies name. . ). These American made moccasins are top quality and as comfortable as can be. Stitching is tight and waxed, leather is thick and seemingly durable, and they broke in within one hour of wear. I ordered a bit wider than I should have, but with socks on they fit like a glove (a foot glove??). I am extremely happy with them and just wish I could have been able to get a pair of them with real lambs wool lining.
