Our Unlined "Ole Maine Comfort Classic" style comes with a leather heel pad added for your comfort. Top Grain Cowhide leather is used for the uppers and a thicker, more durable Bull Hide leather is used for the double sole. A warm Honey colored leather is used for this style.
Our double sole moccasins are really "triple" soles because we put an extra layer of leather between the moccasin and the stitched on double sole for added comfort. Combining that with great classic looks and craftsmanship you create a long time friend. There is nothing quite as special as handsewn moccasins.
When choosing a size for your new moccasins, keep in mind our moccasins run pretty true to the size of your dress shoe or everyday street shoe size...not a sneaker, athletic shoe or work boot. If you sometimes buy different sizes (e.g. sometimes a 9, sometimes a 9.5) you may want to choose the smaller size in our moccasins.

Admit putting off my purchase of these moccasins. Haven't had a good experience, ordering shoes without trying them on first. However, needed a pair of moccasins without foam insoles or plastic soles. Glad I took the initiative as these were comfortable right out of the box, and workmanship is top notch. Knowing they were handmade in the good old USA, does my heart good. Fine quality products continue to be made in our country. Let's keep our money here and support our craftsmen and women.

I recently ordered the unlined honey colored double sole mocs after having owned several other brands. They have exceeded all my expectations. Fit (especially with variable widths available), comfort, construction quality, and overall value are exceptional. Especially, in my case, the perfect balance between suppleness and stiffness that allow for easy removal, was a big factor. ...when your bare feet get "sticky" in the summer.
PS....I never write reviews, but these folks are an exception.

I had purchased Minnetonka moccasins in the past and they stained my feet and the quality was terrible but I loved the look and comfort of a moccasin. They wore out in a few months and I was so disappointed. This time I decided to search for other brands with better quality that were also made in America after discovering Minnetonka now makes their shoes in China and the Dominican Republic. I saw Quoddys but their price was outrageous and after researching forums and differing sites I found one reoccurring discussion...Townview Leather. So many people raved about them, talking about how they were a reasonable price and the quality was undeniable. I was determined to not make the same mistake again with moccasins and research was the best way. I took the leap and THANK GOD I did!!!!!! I have never in my life had such amazingly comfortable shoes. I'm a bit of a hippie and happen to be pregnant and really wanted something that wouldn't stain, that was super comfortable and stayed cool, that I could ground myself and connect with the earth, and were stylish so I could dress them up and down. These far exceeded my expectations. If you are questioning getting these let me reassure you, you will not be disappointed. It took them about 20 minutes to conform completely to my feet, they are really put together so well and could easily be priced higher. They are beautiful pieces of art and the smell of fresh leather is divine. You have a customer for life Townview Leather!!!!!

These moccasins surpassed my expectations. The quality and comfort is superior in every way. And, to top it off, unlike most leather moccasins, they offered a wide width. I so appreciated the excellent customer service and look forward to years of wear.

The buttery-soft, beautifully-grained leather moccasins are a delight! I am looking forward to ordering additional pairs for my family.

These were to be a present, until my new, about a month old, Stafford slippers sole came off. So, I put these on about a week ago, and I haven't worn anything since! A little snug at first, since i got a c width for my skinny foot, but absolutely the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. They fit like a glove.

I love these moccasins, very comfortable with no socks and excellent quality. One nice aspect is they don't develop an impossible odor like tennis shoes that have been worn with no socks. Albert Einstein was very quirky and never wore socks with his leather shoes.
I walk 100 miles a month, usually in mocs with no socks on mostly grassy parkways, but some pavement, for the health benefits of grounding (see Dr. Mercola's website). I treat the mocs periodically with melted beeswax and tallow, and double or triple sole mocs will wear through the soles after about 200 miles. Fortunately Town View will resole their moccasins at a very reasonable price. I used to walk in expensive tennis shoes that would last about 500 miles before breaking down and causing foot problems. In theory the moccasins will be cheaper with periodic resoles.
If they get wet from dew I allow them to dry in the absence of heat because heat will make the leather extremely hard, but at room temperature they dry and remain soft and pliable.
Great value for a hardcore walker! Only natural leather, with no foam cushion insert in the sole, will provide grounding to the earth similar to barefoot walking.

I used to buy these mocs from L L. Bean until they quit making them years ago. The mocs from Town View are as good or superior to any others. I wear mine almost daily. If you want quality moccasins made in America, this is the place to go.
